Background

            The Faculty of Agricultural Production was established in 1975 when Maejo University was still known as Maejo Institute of Agricultural Technology. At present, it offers a wide range of studying programs in more than 15 fields of studies, both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Teaching and learning philosophy

            The fundamental teaching philosophy of the faculty is to provide students with a well-balanced practical training and theoretical understanding. This is to ensure that degree holders will gain both the requisite education and training to enable them to be competitive in their future agricultural occupation. Students who have graduated from the Faculty of Agricultural Production are known to be practical, capable and responsible.

 The Faculty of Agricultural Production commits to:

  • produce well - trained and competent personnel for the country’s need;
  • play a major role in basic and applied research in all aspects of agriculture and its related fields;
  • serve the society through extension activities; and
  • promote and preserve national culture.
