History and Objectives
The Faculty of Engineering and Agro - Industry was founded in 1997 by
MJU to support national development with the following aims:
- To prepare well-trained and
qualified graduates.
- To research in agricultural
engineering, food technology, postharvest technology and related fields
in order to gain knowledge for the development of local communities
in the northern region,
- To serve society by providing
an educational resource personnel in order to assist agricultural,
industrial and governmental agencies, and
- To cultivate graduates with
the quality of life by encouraging social maturation along with technical
competence and to uphold cultural and intellectual heritage.
Faculty
Mission
To provide good and competent quality education to the students, as well
as conduct research and expand knowledge in the scope of agricultural
engineering, food science and technology and postharvest technology.
Research
The Faculty strongly encourages research activities among its students
and lecturers to upgrade the quality of its academic staff and students.
Researches are aimed at technological advancement that would result to
an optimal use of resources, environmental conservation and social development.
Funding is contributed by government budget through approval of the National
Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), private industry, and international
sources.
