Quota System and University Special Programs
Maejo University uses a quota system to fill 50% of available places for each academic year from all secondary schools in the country. The University also admits higher vocational education certificate holders (those who have completed 4 or 5-year vocational course after grade 9 or M.3)
Medium of Instruction
The medium of instruction, except in some special courses which are conducted in English, is Thai.
Grading and Examination
Grading at Maejo University is based on the course unit system/ semester of credit. The number of semesters, credit load requirement and the average and a accumulated grade point required for graduation are published in the MJU Academic Information Handbook. Course evaluation is done by grades and grade point for one credit.
